Questions

DECLAWING

Your Siberian Cat will NEVER be declawed. We believe declawing is a cruel, painful, and debilitating surgery that will adversely impact your kitten’s personality.

To learn more about this, go to this link: http://amby.com/cat_site/declaw.html

This site has numerous articles describing the declawing procedure in detail; some of the articles have expired, so be patient and read those that are still there.  If you keep their claws trimmed, they become toenails and harmless. Cats are very smart animals. Teaching them to use scratching posts and boards is very easy. Removing the first knuckle on their toes is not the answer.

SPAYED / NEUTERED REGULATIONS

There will be a written contract between Siberian Blueand you that requires you to have your kitten spayed/neutered when they achieve the proper age (6 to 8 months). Your kitten will be registered with The Cat Fancier’s Association (CFA),  however, your registration papers that verify your cat is a pure Siberian will not be mailed to you until Siberian Blue receives verification from a licensed veterinarian that your kitten has been spayed/neutered. This is done to protect the natural breed of the Siberian.

We exclusively breed Siberian Cat Neva Masquerade Pure Breed. There are two types of Siberians: traditional (usually colored tabby) and Neva masquerade (with white points). Our kittens are born from Neva Masquerade parents, ensuring they are Siberian Kittens Neva Masquerade Pure Breed.

Unlike some catteries that mix the two types, we maintain the purity of the breed. All our cats have striking blue eyes, and this trait is passed down to our kittens. Our kittens and cats are raised in a loving family environment, not from third parties. We cherish each one, nurturing them into sweet little angels through dedicated socialization efforts.

The timing for adopting our kittens depends on each individual’s unique needs. As responsible breeders, we carefully assess when they are both physically and emotionally ready to leave their mother and become completely independent.

On average, our kittens are ready to join their new homes at around 14 to 15 weeks of age. This extended period allows us to ensure their well-being and readiness for their exciting journey into their new families.
